CP rules prevent offensive things from happening. A person of a belief system is forced to bite his or her tongue or face an infraction from a moderator.

IMO someone who shows humor generally isn't interested in hearing what it's about. Yes there are acceptions. The more they try the more ridicule and disrespect they get - at least that's what i've seen on other message boards.

There are people behind an idea as well.

I don't see any difference between an idea and a belief, both are just concepts that a person accepts and subscribes to.

A liberal at some point decided the liberal style of governing fit their world view better than a conservative one. A Keynesianist at some point decided that Keynesian economics was a better theory than the alternatives. A Muslim at some point decided Islam was a more accurate description of God and how he relates to man than other religions.

I don't really see the difference.
