Wow..to seek such revenge is kinda..WEIRD ! It reminds me of an old saying..Never argue with an idiot, people might not know the difference.

I have worked in retail before..and some people would wipe there nose with their hands then hand their money to you..or put their hand out for change..one of the reasons I couldn't deal with the public anymore, so I don't blame anyone for putting change on acounter instead of in my hand.

I'm not sure why you'd find that funny. A person usually gets what they want if they approach the situation from the other person's point of view. The clerk clearly needs a self-serving reason to deliver what he needs. He's providing that. The clerk will not have to clean the counter or her hands after he leaves. He gets his change in his hand. Win/Win.

It's an art. It's diplomacy. It's a skill women across the world arm themselves with. Usually, right before they enter the bedroom with their man and his overinflated ego and his unerring certainty he knows what makes her happy. It's also used to calm international situations.

Was it over the top? Looking back, yeah. Should have handled the situation by buying my gas from another station. Just accept the fact there are people in the position of customer service who don't care about thier job.

Was there more to it? Yes it was an isolated incident. I would explain further however whatever i say here would only inflame the situation further so i'll leave it at that.
