Your right hab LOL...having nice hot weather from March till the end of October is for the birds! I miss those cold Summer nights where I had to bundle up around the good ole campfire with my wife dressed in winter clothing...why on earth would I want to see her wearing shorts and a tee!

The bike ride in wasn't too bad. Good gear had the torso relatively warm. Feet were frozen though, needed an extra pair of socks or something - dress socks and Blundstones didn't cut it. The Patagonia gloves I thought were going to be kickass didn't seem that warm at all, but when I took them off to work the bike locks I realized they're doing a pretty good job all things considered.
Calgary will get how many days at -40C? 4 days tops? Compare that with 8 weeks of rain in Vancouver? I'll take my medicine strong thanks....
Oooh the sun's out...

Rarely ever freezing rain here, and the sun actually comes out. I remember a 3 week stretch in Waterloo where the sun never came out.
Plus summers there suck!! Too humid.

Urban Cowboy already? Oh cmon....LOL The only freezing rain you felt here was passed out in the back of your condo the morning after Octoberfest!

I was never a fan of the SW Ont slush, and don't like humid days. 30 years of it was enough, I'll take Calgary weather.
Give me an extra week of this bitter cold if I can exchange it for those crappy 35 degree days in July.

It has been over 2 years since we have experienced minus 30C. That isn't so bad.

Here's a shot of a buddy of mine from the other day...
It's so hot right now I could cook a set of Pete Schweaty's meatballs on the sidewalk.
In fact, after my nap in my air conditioned cabina I may just try it.

Not psychic, bored. It's slow here at work and I'm freezing as my desk is right in front of the door... Anyone hits the damn handicapped button that doesn't need to today, I'm gonna clock them.

I've spent many a day at The Bend, Ipperwash, et al. And while you are right that nothing here compares to that (not even close) it isn't like you can spend 7 days a week in those places. And I've never been a sun worshiper. Although I do miss a few cold beverages in the shade under an umbrella at Sanders (which, unfortunately, I think I was told doesn't exist anymore).

Apparently the bylaw officers are in a bad mood at having to work out there today. I got a parking ticket for being too close to a stop sign. Same spot I've parked for months. Guess if they gotta suffer, I gotta suffer. I was too close though. Doh!
