Aside from way too many constructions, rude and impatient drivers I always think Calgary is the best city to live on. Yes the cost of lving is starting to get so high, renting is high and so on but that happens all over Canada I am sure. I've been living in Calgary since 1981 and not planning on moving somewhere else. I cannot complain about the winter as long it is so cold out.

The main appeal of Calgary to me was that it was a place where a person could move to and get a head start in life... lots of jobs, cheap homes, friendly neighbours. Clearly, on these criteria, Calgary has lost its appeal. Certainly, if I were still in Vancouver, there would be nothing to draw me here. Most disturbing to me has been the slide in business ethics and service in this city. Particularly in the residential construction industry, which I see suffering a huge shake down in the next few years.

Trivial, by comparison, is the fact that Calgary is not as cool or fun as bigger cities. No, you just can't head downtown on a random night without a plan and find live music. That said, if you are organized and have an open mind, you can have good fun in this city.

If you could expand on your feelings/thoughts about that I would definitely appreciate it.
