Yikes is THAT ever the most narrow minded thing I have heard yet about this whole incident.

It may be acceptable....by those IN THE BUSINESS!! But to say its acceptable by the masses is both wrong and completely ignorant.

There is a huge outcry in the South just as there is up North about this abomination.

"I Hate Dog Owners" over the Michael Vick thing . . . . . Joel Stein with an attempt at sarcastic humour in the LA Times.

"Vick reportedly in plea talks" . . . . Atlanta Journal Constitution.

Looks like a second interloper is going to plea-bargain. Right now, Vick is looking increasingly like the guy who is going to be ratted out.

be sentenced to some time in prison, according to federal sentencing guidelines.

Vick's motivation to enter a guilty plea is likely fueled by the U.S. Attorney's Office announcement last month that it will seek a new "superceding" indictment against Vick by the end of August. With the cooperation of Vick's three co-defendants, there will likely be new, and more specific, allegations against Vick. The federal grand jury in Richmond is expected to hand up that indictment sometime early next week.

If Vick can reach an agreement by the end of this week, he would not have to answer to any additional charges.

So if he cops a plea.....

He will be suspended for at least a year.
He will be released by the Falcons.

Or will these depend upon what he peads guilt to? I think he is gone for a year regardless - lying directly to Goodell is grounds for violation of the code of conduct.

Will he be required to pay back any of his signing bonus?
Will another team give him another shot after a year? (I can already guess the "He has paid his penalty, he is sorry for what he did" speech)
