Lol don't worry about it, I think both of you contribute enough that eventually your good posts will get skill and outweigh a lone blue.

What exactly does one have to do to get a red square? I've seen some excellent posts lately with no red squares added. So maybe there's something i'm missing?

If you see an excellent post that deserves some skill, then you can report the post so we can see it.

Even with multiple people who can give skill, not every post gets read.

I'm not criticising those who give out skill. My previous post was more of a remark that maybe I don't understand what type of posts rate a a red square or skill as you call it.

I have yet to see any clear definition of what type of posts deserve a red square. Just curious as all.

I agree, I posted a wallpaper that took me two and a half hours. No skill for that?

I'll still make them, but I thought that was a good contribution. *shrug*

Oh I see, that's something that we're still trying to work on, coming up with a set of criteria that we will use. It still can be pretty subjective though, you don't want to make it too narrow, and we don't want to get into a situation where everyone points out their own posts and says "hey this post meets all the criteria give me skill now". We want it to be more organic, not a system to be gamed.

It wasn't a sarcastic response, at all.

He didn't get a rating for doing the calender, okay, so what? If he keeps contributing eventually he will get one, that's how I see it.

Anyway, PM me if you still have a problem with it.

Simple...as a Senior Scouting Consultant he can get away with responses like this, as well as...

"Blow Me?"

"If I need come back from you I will checK the inside of your lips".

It has a lot to do with who you know...

Right, Adam?

We will agree to disagree as to wether it was a sarcastic post or not.

No thanks on the PM. I'm getting a clearer picture of how skills are awarded to posts.

Things that go against the guidelines aren't what the skill points are for, that's what moderators and infractions and such are for. The skill system isn't intended to be a way to police the forum.

If you see a post that violates the posted guidelines then report it. The actions taken by moderators are private so you may not always see a public impact of reporting a post.
