WOW what a play in the Mets Cardinals game.
Takes away a for sure home run with an amazing grab, then turns it into a double play for the mets.

Yeah, that was stunning! Best play of the playoffs so far. Now the Mets MUST win this game just to make the play stand up.

Weird pitch that is. It moved like a southpaw was chucking it, not a righty.

Well the Mets made it interesting in the end, but the kid gets them with the hook. Gotta give the Cards credit as many pegged them to be the team who'd suffer the biggest stretch collapse in Baseball history. Tigers and Cards in the Series. Not a Baseball historian by any stretch but didn't they meet a few times in the 60's for the series?

They've met twice before......once was in the 60's and once was earlier. Each team won once.
GO TIGERS!

I guess the positive to the Cards advancing is we get to watch Pujols for 1 more round.
It'll be interesting to see if he can turn it up.

I'll be rooting for the Cards - always been a big fan of Tony LaRussa, particularly after reading his book. Add to that some other guys on the Cards I like - Puljos, Rolen and the former Jay Carpenter and that's reason enough for me to cheer for them.
Although, ultimately I'll be hoping it goes 7...so whatever team is trailing at the time.

A good World Series is a World Series that does not feature New York.
Go Tigers!

I am not a big baseball person, but last nights game was a great game.
Bottom of the 9th, 3-1 score, bases loaded, and 2 outs. Lots of drama and lots of electricity in the stadium. Probably the best game of the playoffs so far.
Great catch in the OF as well.

I know this has happened in the last few World Series but never knew why. Anyways what I'm wondering is why there is another broadcast crew other than Fox broadcasting the game that Sportsnet is picking up? Is this from MLB cause I noticed once behind home plate on that green advertising thing that the Blue Jays logo showed up below www.tigers.com or whatever this link is while Fox showed a different advertising.

Its a green screen. The networks add what they want to it. RSN is putting the Jays logo on themselves.

Well, I said the Cards would win the first and the Tigers would then go four straight. We'll see what happens. I won't be disappointed with either team winning, I lke both Larussa and Leyland.

That computer generated cover up ad behind home plate is annoying as hell. It's giving a weird glowing effect around any player who's in front of it.
Quite distracting actually.

For those who have been watching the game, what was the bit about Rogers doing something with the ball in the first? I didn't catch the first couple innings, and they make it sound like he was putting something on it.
