I'm a Community Support Worker. I work one to one with a gentleman with a physical disability. Unfortunately, it doesn't pay that well and I'm usually pretty bored. I'm just biding my time before I can go back to school.

I work for a grain/seed testing company here in Edmonton. Farmers send us their grain/seed and we test it for any number of things. For example, germination, disease, purity, variety, etc.
I am the Team Leader in the Cultivar Identification department. I use different protein and DNA testing methods to determine what variety or varieties are present in the sample of wheat, barley, peas, oats, etc.
I am the only one in the country who does this type of testing, other than the government, of course.

Been in the industry for about 3 years now, and yeah, we released Evil Dead Regeneration as our first in house low budget title last year.
The PS3 isn't really hard to develop for, it's more that it's totally different than anything else (again). Makes cross-platform code a little bit more tricky.

Out of all of the jobs mentioned, i want your's the most. In a month, you should start a thread of anecdotal stories from work.
Question: is it standard behaviour in a lingerie shop to have your wife/girlfriend invite you into the change room to provide feedback on how she looks?
Back on topic, I am a Chartered Accountant who left public practice. Now I am high yield (aka junk bond) analyst for a hedge fund, soon to be joining an investment bank. My post count along with all things in my life that are social will dwindle into nothingnesss I suspect.

No... land as in the portion of an oil and gas company devoted to the exploration program.

We've never done one way down in Heritage. We work primarily in Valley Ridge, Aspen and the Willows of Wentworth. I've only ever seen one "Escada" and wasn't in it. It's one of the biggest and grossest houses they build.

Anyone else into the Art scene?

I'm an Independent Filmmaker, which means that at the moment I do odd contract jobs for a living...weddings, commercials, etc. I've done a couple of music videos, and currently I'm actually working as a Translator (Spanish to English) on a research job with a girl who is working on proposal for a documentary about an artist run cooperative in Argentina.

I have an MA (economics) from the University of Calgary and I also have my chartered business valuator desigination (CBV).
I work in Project Finance/Project Management in the energy industry. Basically, I do the economic/financial modelling for capital investments and try to get them to financial close.
It can be difficult. Right now I am in the North trying to get a couple hydroelectric projects done on a PPP basis. Very challenging. Extremely frustrating!

A landman can deal with all of those things. A landman is basically the oil/gas company's representative in the field to the landowner, so really any issue between landowner and company usually involve a landman/agent. Some of the most common landman tasks is to sign up freehold landowners to surface/mineral rights agreements, but they do lots of other stuff.
And I think at my company they get paid something like .75/km, and some guys drive 100's of km's a day, nearly every day.

Your referring to the more surface oriented landman. These people deal with freeholders and rights of way onto the surface of the land.
There are other types too, such as the mineral landman. They are concerned with obtaining the rights to win, take and remove petroleum substances in the subsurface. This is done either through the crown or freeholders as well.
