That's not Jay Sharrers, btw. The ref tonight is Jordan Samuels-Thomas. Sharers retired from injury in 2016.
I think it's pretty awesome. He's reffed 86 times over 5 seasons. I'm not sure what a typical game count is per season, so I don't know if 86 games in 5 years is low or not. Like maybe he's slowly been ramping up to more and more games each year as he gets experience?

lmao oh lord, yeah I'm aware. I was not at all suggesting they're the same guy. Just pointing out it's even doubly weird to yell out "That's my first black referee!!" when Jay worked games for decades.
