Really hope that the trade just totally explodes in Conroy’s favor this year. It definitely could.

I have no problem baking prospects in the AHL, so that they are ready to compete as soon as they hit the show. It means that the team is in, or near, a competitive window.

I truly believe vast majority of fans are being patient with him. Remember some were declaring him generational too before any meaningful NHL action.
It’s fair game to discuss his play on the ice IMO. It will be fascinating to see how they deploy him at start of the year.

Just caught up on the first period on delay.
Good effort, much better than Vancouver. That's all I want to see for this final tune up.
Gridin with yet another reason to keep him coming out of camp. He got a little lucky on the backhand, but he was in the right spot to score and has been the entire camp. I think he's staying, guys.
Parekh with a bit of a gong show on one shift. Still waiting for him to make plays offensively. I hope Huska is working with him every game to get him to be more comfortable. It would suck to send him down again, but if he doesn't progress in the NHL, you sort of have to before he loses all confidence.
Also waiting for Zary to do something this pre-season. He's been very quiet so far.
Frost looks really sharp in his playmaking ability. I expect good things from him this year.
Not much else to say. Hellebuyck is clearly still in preseason mode, so i wouldn't read too much into the score.

It would be nice to see the coaching staff let Parekh run with the power play the same way that Minnesota is letting Buium run with it. As good as Weegs and Anderson are. We have years to evidence showing they aren’t great on the PP.

He's on the PP. It's not like he's not been given a chance.

You may not, but it’s a pretty big deal for asset management to get an extra year of RFA if the player isn’t ready.
Give Parekh and maybe Gridin 5-9 games… if they prove they’re definitely ready, keep them in the NHL. If they’re shaky when the games matter, 9 games or less is enough and getting that slide year could be important .

Side note, Wolf looks in mid-season mode, and has had all camp. Not since Kipper have I felt this comfortable with our starting goaltending. And much like the Kipper days, I haven't been this uncomfortable with our backup since then.

I mean full reigns like Buium. Would be nice to see him get the majority of time with the first unit rather than coming in with 45 seconds or so left with the second unit.

I have a lot of patience and time for him. It’s just unfortunate the circumstances seem to be what’s rushing him.
