Because in all seriousness, at least on paper this looks like a classic money laundering scheme. Isn’t $100 million in 50:50 proceeds a little fishy? More than 10x all the other teams. The arrangement with the related party gets the laundered money back in their hands.

Well yeah it would have to be if it is a laundering scheme. He’s laundering money through the Foundation, then pays it back to himself.

I think his suggestion is dirty money buys the tickets, and is then washed being paid out as licencing fees. Hard to imagine that is a real thing though.

Well the dirty money would have no need to actually buy tickets. It just gets reported that way.

Of course it’s pure fiction, other than it is set up exactly to do this. Casinos are tailor made for money laundering operations since you can’t trace the intake.
