It should read, "Oilers sign back to back 14 goal scorer".

One thing though, He was a plus player for pretty much his entire career. I bet he isn't a plus player after this season.

Yeah Mangiapane seems to be a very responsible player and can be trusted on any line. But a goal scorer he is not, some guys hit their career high early in their career.

I'm sure that's the richest deal he was offered, so he took it. He's not the player he used to be. Most teams probably offering one-year contracts.

Not a fan of him going there, I used to like the player.

Well at least he's getting overpaid.

I really don't understand what the Oilers are doing here? Why did they move Kane and then overpay bottom six guys instead? Kane out. Perry not re-signed. Frederic and Mangiapane overpaid.

Nothing left to improve their goaltending. Excellent.

O.K. there has been a lot of talk on whether or not MacTavish has actually done a good job for us, most fans on this board are very basic in their analysis and I feel would change their opinion entirely if the team was successful.

Just another example of Edmonton taking our table scraps.

It's like they felt they needed to do this so Rich Winter would keep quiet in critiquing them in the local media this year.

Maybe Connor is a big fan of toast?

Mang did what he had to do in order to get paid years ago

Once he signed that life changing contract, he stopped willing his way to the dirty areas

Good for him, he can keep it in neutral, just hope he will enjoy being shrieked at to dig in and ignoring it like all of the other teammates
