wasn't that long ago that the Flames were famously the only team without a post 2018 (I think it was) draft pick of theirs that had played a game


if all goes according to plan 4 23 or 24 picks will have played their first game after tonight (one not drafted by us). admittedly none are established regulars at this stage

They were in a playoff spot all year - the only time to recall guys was due to injury.

Most of the injuries they dealt with were to centres, and Stromgren may not have been the best winger at any given moment to warrant a call up.

If they’d been a bottom 10 team, Stromgren and a bunch of other guys would’ve seen time.

He looked great in development camp, and the worst thing they could do is cut bait on him now.

yeah the Klapka thing may be confounded by his injury last night, but I assume they are taking part in some final Flames related activities
