Bit of a surprise to see Miro out in the OT...but maybe a reward for being steady in the back end and the goal the other day?
Absence of alternatives. Weegar and Rasmus would play virtually an entire OT. The other choices were Pachal, Bean, Hanley, and Bahl.
Miro probably the best suited for overtime, at least offensively, of that group.

Since the Four Nations break, the Flames have played 10 road games, all out east:

WSH, TBL, FLA, CAR, PHI, DAL, TOR, NYR, NJD and NYI

You have to figure they are winning maybe 2 or 3 of them at most. Especially with Backlund out long term, and Zary getting a suspension.

Nope. They play .600 hockey, going 5-3-2

Overall, they're 7-4-3 since the break. Unbelievable.

They played a lot more forwards and d-men during OT than they usually do. I think Huska was compensating for tired legs after a long road trip.

What do you want? Half of last year's Wranglers team is playing in the NHL!

I think one of the Wranglers players served me a Donair on Thursday. They're taking whoever they can get!

I wasn't suggesting any of these guys played poorly or have been playing poorly of late. Just saying, you look at that lineup on paper, and you have to think they have no chance.

F-it, let's sweep New York!!

Much better OT play today as well.

They kept possession, moved around well and didn't force plays unless there was a clear path to the net.

Good chance he ties/beats his career high in goals as well. If he had a star players like he did in Florida he'd getting PPG easily this year.

Kadri is a stud too. He wants the puck when the game is on the line.

Hopefully when they play the oilers the twins doofuses are still out and they can get a big lead and start running them.

The last 2 games have reminded me of the '14-'15 find a way Flames.

The way this team has bounced back since their loss in Toronto has been extremely impressive. Need to keep it going though.

‘Doofuses’ is perfectly fine. It’s an English word, not Latin; possibly derived from the Scots word ‘doof’, meaning a dolt.

Pluralizing it as if it were Latin is a decent joke, but not required.

hate that the Blues play another game tomorrow against a bad team.

Flames could be 4 out with three in hand when both CGY(vs SEA) and STL(vs MTL) play again on Tuesday.

McDavid will be out for a game or two. No one else will be worthy of that trophy after he comes back from his catastrophic injury.

Preds beat the Leafs today.

Both teams will be on back to backs, but Nashville travels.
