What the Sabres need is a coach like Huska. Attention to detail, especially good with dmen, and demands accountability during and after games.

Yep. I saw him regularly in junior and he looks like he’s lost all confidence. I think a change of scenery would do him well.

When I was watching I was constantly thinking "oh yeah they have Quinn, oh yeah...Kulich, oh yeah...Benson". A lot of talented pieces but it doesn't fit together at all. Too many of the same type of players. And they lack "the guy". Thompson is the closest and has a real presence on the ice, and is the only guy seemingly trying to grab the reigns.
Of course they did have "the guy" but they screwed him around. And I wonder if Buffalo's inclusion on a lot of no trade lists has something to do with that. Other players watched how they handled Eichel and could not have been impressed.
Just a mess of a franchise.

Yep, all three were not very good,
Not sure if the Flames will take Bishop and Kerins on the road,
Or will one or two get sent down
Game play was slow,
(Flames went with 3 lines, a big chunk of the 2nd and 3rd periods)

They are in a tough spot. Buffalo isn't a desirable city for players and management/ownership has been a bad gongshow.

Its much more about the management and coaching hires than about the players.
Also speculated that once the Super Bowl run is over for the Bills (either this weekend or in 2 weeks), that the Pegulas will turn their attention to the Sabres.
Sounds like Adams is either on his way out or on very very thin ice.
They probably need to decide on Adams sooner rather than later because if he is a dead man walking, they wont want him taking things through the trade deadline as they have moves to make as that date gets closer.
Its a ####show in Buffalo to be sure.

I remember reading the same sort of thing last year. Pegulas were waiting for bills season to end and then focussing on the sabres. Obviously the bills are his dream team, but he needs to focus more on sabres . He’s done a great job with bills . Not sure why he can’t do the same with sabres.

Dahlin is "The Guy" too but the real issue is the defense doesn't have a good veteran leader.
Still think they should have really tried to overpay for another veteran top 4 dman to help guys like Power, Dahlin, Byram etc actually become better NHLers.

He seems to interfere a lot more with the Sabres

Hey! That is no way to talk about a player that is almost single-handedly keeping his team above water!
Show some respect!
No, seriously though, without his $5.5M we're under the Cap floor...
Cap Compliance for the win!!

100% agreed with Sec, Cozens is going to be great away from Buffalo.
BUT, I think it will be even more interesting to see a guy like Owen Power on his second team.

Really sucks that Kerins was bounced lower in the lineup and predictably had a bad game with bad linemates. Would have liked to see him given more time with Pelts and another hot winger. C'est la vie! I personally hope they don't send him down; he definitely doesn't deserve that.

Pelletier, Zary, Coronato...
Three straight mid to late 1st round picks looking not only like NHLers, but top 6 contributors.

I think even more importantly he injects energy and enthusiasm. Huberdeau has been better of late, but look at last night...once Pelletier was there the intensity was dialed way, way up.
Its a shame they're going to tear this team apart!
The French and Eastern Europeans are natural enemies. Like the French and the English or the French and the Germans, or the French and the Dutch or the French and other French.
Damned French...they ruined France!

His skating is an issue in my opinion
Was at the game, he looks slow.
My guess Bishop is sent down, Kerins goes on the road.
Likely is sent down after
