I do not nor even have partaken in needlepoint nor macramé.
I said she could do it at her desk as long as she still does her job.
Now I'm bombarded with everything from needlepoint patterns, knitting ideas, crochet patterns...I even got one for designer eye-glasses chains so you can hang your glasses around your neck while you play Canasta!!
I dont even wear glasses!

No one has bumped a thread, it's just an ongoing discussion for an ongoing issues. It was brought to your attention multiple times (off topic area) and once where you got mad at another poster, now we have a thread on the main page about it because it got so bad.
Bumping is when the the discussion dies and someone brings it up randomly again.

I think a fair statement is that people understand the site needs the ads to cover costs, and we are absolutely OK with that, we just want them not to be intrusive.
Ad blockers defeat the purpose of trying to support the site, but people feel compelled because of how obnoxious they have become.

There are various committees and sub committees that need to be convened before something like this can be addressed, it's all very political. One does not simply flip a switch on the machinery of bureaucracy. This was just brought up at the beginning of November, give the gears of change time to work through this ok?

Yeah, I gave up waiting today and added an ad blocker extension to my browser. I do try to support the sites and creators I like by watching their ads or clicking on ads that occasionally are interesting to me, so I'll watch for updates and if this problem is resolved I'll at least consider dropping the extension.

Whenever I see someone's phone/iPad without an ad blocker I can't imagine why they choose to live that way. The visual noise is enough to drive me insane.

Some people choose to support the sites/creators they frequent by not using adblocker.
Is that a hard concept to grasp?

Some people choose not to subject themselves to internet hell and clickbait headlines masquerading as news. Is that a hard concept to grasp?
I would happily support CP by paying as it's a very niche, passionate, and knowledgeable audience but I'm not turning off my ad blocker.
Most other places I read probably have 1,000x or more the views, so the difference is negligible.
