You are throwing stones from a glass house here. If overall success is measured by deep playoff runs both organizations have sucked for decades in fact the Coyotes at least won a couple of playoff rounds in 2011/12 which is something the Flames haven't accomplished since 2004. The reality is that Utah as of today is in a better position to turn the corner than the Flames especially with their new ownership that actually wants to win.

Average oppositional situational (home / away) win percentage.
Vladar .574
Wolf .492
Number of games started against teams with situational win percentages under .400
Vladar 0
Wolf 4
Number of games started against teams with situational win percentages above .600
Vladar 7
Wolf 5
Wolf is money, but there is little doubt he's getting the sheltered starts.

They have better goaltending than us.
Unless your point is we have the better D and bottom 6, which is probably true.

I would take Wolf all day.
Anyways they are better off right now. They are also in a division with the Jets, Wild, Avs, Stars and I would add the Blues as well.
We are in a division with, San Jose, Anaheim, Vancouver, Seattle, Edmonton a bit different.

Doesn’t seem like the best policy if you want to trade Vladar. I know it’s good for Wolf’s development, but Vladar’s value in a trade at the moment is basically zero.

If you were considering acquiring him you would know those numbers and adjust for it. I don’t think GMs are that dumb.

And what value do you place on a correct season of development for a starting franchise goaltender?
Probably greater than the value between a 2nd (Vladar protected and a non digging GM bites), and a 4th.

Kadri should sit for a game after that crap. Refs missed a call, let it go.

They didn't get caved in twice by the coyotes, the coyotes are not a team.

Hanifin for sure if a year earlier as he would not have been a pending UFA, we retained 50% of his salary for a late first and 3rd ( Miromanov is a depth guy/toss in at best) A defenseman of his age/caliber and salary at the time could have got a lot more IMO

Taking a while to get to 5000

Hanifin the year prior, when they just got Huberdeau & Kadri and basically announced they were pressing forward trying to contend?
He wasn't moving then. Nobody was.

You're judging a franchise for not doing the right things, when it's a team that works hard and cares.

They should have drafted poorly so that we would have worse youngsters than we have, so that we can lose more games, so that we can draft higher and now magically draft better.
Makes a whole lot of sense.

They didn't get caved in last night either. They lost by a a goal and an ENG, after having been the better team for two periods.

Sign some vets with grit and play them, not the kids! Oh wait, that would be the same old same old. And then we'd never develop the kids or find out what they can do.

Ah yes, good point but my point stands on not moving players at the right time as a whole. Why not the offseason or earlier on? But they just had to have the false optimism that they would bounce back in 23/24

Vegas and that's it. The Pacific is looked at weakest division.

A few years ago. I mean you post Edmonton as a bad team and suggest St. Louis is a good one? I am as E=NG as the rest but we can be honest.
Where were all these awesome Central teams last year when the Oilers went to the finals? Vancouver did better against the Oilers than the Stars did. Not mentioning Vegas, LA, and Chicago was obviously on purpose because your argument doesn't hold up. Every division has top teams and bad teams...look at head to head records.
Vegas is 2nd overall and LA is 7th overall, you omitted them because it hurt your narrative.

UTA is 5th in the Central in winning percentage. They would be 6th in the Pacific.
But facts are irrelevant, the only truth is whatever garbage PW wants to spew today.
