the MLB record to me that is the most impressive is Greg Maddux with 17 years with at least 15 wins. i just remembered that after reading this post.

Sounds like Ryan Pressly to the Cubs, he is waiving his NTC. He was incredible for the Astros in the 2022 WS run, their MVP of the playoffs IMO.

Now Mr. Burns just needs to let Mattingly play and all is right with the world.

While I'm glad the Jays didnt sign Verdugo, I'm fairly surprised no one is betting on him to bounce back. Average was 281 in Boston. I'd have thought he'd get a one-year show me deal by now. You have to think he's starting to worry, as he's missed quite a bit of camp.

ABS is awesome.
Spring training is awesome. The LAD/CWS stadium is gorgeous. Might get to one more game this spring.
Can't wait to get back to Seattle and watch some baseball.

Give Fanatics credit though, we're laughing at the comedy of the hats and not how outrageously bad they are.

Montreal, here we come?
Quote:
The Tampa Bay Rays will not proceed with the development of a $1.3 billion baseball stadium in St. Petersburg, Florida, principal owner Stuart Sternberg said Thursday.
"After careful deliberation, we have concluded we cannot move forward with the new ballpark and development project at this moment," Sternberg said in a statement. "A series of events beginning in October that no one could have anticipated led to this difficult decision.
"Our commitment to the vitality and success of the Rays organization is unwavering. We continue to focus on finding a ballpark solution that serves the best interests of our region, Major League Baseball, and our organization."
The plan to build the stadium in the Historic Gas Plant District to replace outdated Tropicana Field was met with excitement last summer when the team and public officials announced the deal. Local government agencies had approved the sale of bonds to pay their share, but the Rays had until March 31 to meet specific conditions to gain public financing, including showing proof that they could meet their minimum $700 million obligation -- not including cost overruns -- toward the project.

Relax, I didn't say anything bad.
There's a time you separate sports from real life and this is one and I feel horrible for him.
