If this happened to pretty much any other player in the league, hardly anyone would take notice, let alone spend hours analyzing it, slowing the replay, checking the amount of force the boards exerted on his foot (the bards should be penalized!) and that terrible ice that allowed him to slide all that way (penalize it, too!).

If a penalty is called when an Oiler gets injured an angel gets its wings and remains bedside of the injured player cutting the recovery time in half.

Believe it or not, some people get exhausted by the constant whining about the refs from our fan base, it's an easy out to blame criticism on "must be a fan of another team", takes minimal effort, good for you.

What's particularly amusing is if you watch the super duper latest update video... It says nothing, except that the Oilers will obviously err on the side of caution when it comes to him returning to the lineup.

The constant felating of McDavid by the media is so ridiculous. The guy is nearly 30, and has won absolutely nothing. Meanwhile a guy like Barkov has a cup, actually plays the entire game of hockey and not just one side of the ice, and I don't even know what his real first name is! Crosby has won at every level, multiple times, and I do not recall this type of treatment by the media.

Edit: And McDavid might be the most unlikeable, milquetoast, superstar athlete out there. A terrible ambassador for the league.
