Flames are sticking to the passive defensive shell and then trying to counter attack, and they're struggling a little with the forecheck of Vancouver. But that's to be expected with such a young roster against what is pretty close to the Canucks' main team.

Poirier finishes off a rough period with an own goal. Looks like he's gonna need some more time in the AHL.
This is a little closer to regular season pace and physical play, and you see how much the kids are struggling with it. Yet, I would say that this is only about 80% of the normal regular season pace. This is why the pre-season results are meaningless and why guys like Coronato have to show they can adapt to this and still thrive. Haven't heard his name yet tonight, which is disappointing considering how he played in those first games.
