Makar was drafted 4th OA and Trevor Hoskin was drafted in the forth round. I don't think the comparisons are helpful.

Hoskin doesn't need to be a world beater. He just has to prove that he can contribute offense at the NCAA level. If he keeps this up then he may find a spot in a better NCAA division next year and so on.

Penn State lost this evening 4-0, but Sergeev did not dress, and presumably still injured

re-posting this in the correct thread

Suniev gets an assist in a 4-0 victory over BU
it was a crazy game with 5 goals taken off the board due to goalie interference
despite just the single assist, Suniev had a strong game on the defensive side, shutting down BUs top line and winning lots of board battles.

Can't find any info that says what happened, but he must be injured or sick. Hopefully not for long.

Just need to confirm the bolded part - what in the world happened in this game?? Would it have been 9-0 otherwise? 5-4 Loss?

4 goals by UMass taken off the board; 1 goal by BU
it could have been an 8-1 game

NESN commentators say Suniev is #2 in the country in shots on goal.
No surprise, #1 is Ryan Leonard

This kid is a sniper. Hopefully he can somehow make the show.

edit: This was his hat trick goal, btw. Still time to score more. This is just an exhibition game against SFU.

Penn State will be playing the Notre Dame Fighting Irish on the second half of the Big Ten Hockey Series at Wrigley Field on Jan. 3.

No word yet on Sergeev's status.
