Yean, he's a great interview. Just honest and seems like a really cool dude. Really hope he can medal in the 5000, that would be really deserved after running such a great race right now and just missing out.

Was not confusing, just Mark Lee was. No way a lapped runner runs in the pack.
And kept repeating it. Like dude don’t you have a timing screen? Even the colour guy was talking about it being bad form. Could they not just look? Made the ending very anti climactic.

Warner hurt or just out of gas??? Just died at the end there ouch.
I wonder if he's just a little long on the tooth. 34 is old compared to the rest of the field. Neugebauer is ten years younger! Warner is the only decathlete born in the 80's.
Yeah, when he first started falling back I thought maybe he had a hamstring injury or something but I guess not. Still super close, hope he has an awesome day 2.

I thought the same, looked like a classic pulled hammy run. He seems ok though, just an old guy competing with kids haha.

It's a shame these matches aren't on television. I know they're on CBC Gem or whatever, but there are a million channels on TSN and Sportsnet. Why can't they show them there?

But which 3 or 5 of 7 or 10 of the 20 events concurrently going on do you show? You want soccer, I want archery. Using the app is a switch to a completely different way of consuming media, and I guess it takes some getting used to, but imo once a person get accustomed to it it's easy, and vastly superior. I sometimes have TV, tablet, phone and notebook all on a different event.

Well different events would be nice. I'd be okay with archery as well. I haven't seen any cycling or water sports yet. Rowing, kayaking, and canoeing used to be staples in Canada, now they don't get any attention. It seems like they're covering 2-3 events at a time. Yet over so many channels I feel like they could be covering much more.
That being said the coverage in Canada is far better than NBC. NBC has very little live coverage, and only features American athletes. CBC has better (more informed) commentators, and they're not nearly as bigger homers. I do miss the feature CBC once had where that gentleman went to places in the host country and frequented with the locals. I forget his name... but surely someone remembers what I'm talking about.

French CBC still does that in every Olympics. I've been watching alot on french cbc, their coverage actually blows English CBC out of the water.

NBC (Peacock) has every event live.
Same sort of coverage as CBC Gem, just much better interface. Much more user friendly. Much easier to navigate. It's fabulous.
Their packaged 3 hour evening show is just made for prime time, with entire emphasis on American athletes. I do not watch it.
And yeah, I remember those bits. Guy's name is on the top of my tongue but can't quite remember. They were fabulous
