Biden did not narrowly win.

306/232 is not narrow. The country was about 3.5% more blue than the electoral college. So a significant electoral college advantage. The current generic ballot is Dems +1. So assuming the same delta between the last election and assuming whoever replaces him behaves like the generic ballot this election is still very close this far out to election day.

Biden was an anchor though polling consistently well behind the generic and got worse after the debate.

all solid picks. Really like Shapiro personally. Kelly too, but that Arizona seat is vital.

Winning by 44,000 votes across 3 swing states is pretty narrow IMO. I think the EC spread makes it seem a lot wider a gap than it was.

Who is out there with the name immediate name recognition? This is the right play IMO. Announce someone soon at get the ball rolling on the hype.

Harris has to be ready for Trump on September 10th. She needs to be sharp and not play his games

For one thing, it turns the "too old and senile to be president" narrative right back onto Trump.

Second, the Dems chances of winning this election hinge on women getting to the ballot box in record numbers to restore their reproductive rights, and having a woman at the top of the ticket helps with that.

I think Shapiro has to be the VP, as Pennsylvania is a must-win state.
I agree with all of this.

About 3 months ago there was a lot of debate about how Biden was the best candidate and questioning his ability to perform the job the next 4 years was falling for right wing propaganda.

Does anyone still hold that position?

Electorally he had to resign for sure because he wasn’t going to win but is there anyone still beliving he is the right person for the job?

The man literally played Mr. Rogers. They could just skip the election entirely, save the money and solve World Hunger and the Opioid crisis and just declare it.

Going back to Andy Beshear, I didn't really know too much about him so I spent some time reading up on him and watching some videos. I can't say much about his record specifically, other than that he he seems really popular in his region. A Democrat winning Kentucky is no small task, especially considering that he one in some areas of the state that went to Trump in 2020. He seems to understand how technology changing how his state must operate and many people there seem to be buying in to his visions. He also seems to avoid a lot of the partisan talk, which is probably smart for someone in his state. He is also pretty aggressive on fighting the opioid crisis which I think would be a great VP project.

I think he would be really solid choice for VP.
