I hope the Lightning miss the playoffs. They overpaid for Tanner freaking Jeannot and couldn’t even offer up market value and beat that trash Vegas offer for a top 4 defencemen that was going to extend with them anyways who, judging by tonight’s game, they really could use.
F you Tampa! Your dynasty is done. Get use to missing the playoffs and a decade of darkness.

Did not know that. I thought they were middle of the pack in terms of % of capacity. Thanks.
100% capacity since 2015 (slight dip 2020 as covid started and eventually shut down the season) and also top 3 -5 in total attendance every year in that time.
Sight dip around the 2010 mark for s couple years. Other than that always 18k + since 04. They are a true success story in the southern states.
Huberdeau’s comment about not thinking at all - that’s when he plays his best. His issues came with overthinking his plays. Of course you need a guy at the the other end of those instinctive passes.

I bet that's true for most athletes. BTW, who was Huberdeaus linemates when he had his 115-point season in Florida?
Anway, it seems like he has found some good chemistry with both Sharangovich and Kuzmenko. Conroy probably had their Huberdeau compatibility in mind when he traded for them.

McDavid made a similar pass and of course it was the #1 Play of the Week on Sportsnet. It will be interesting to see what they think of Huberdeau doing basically the same pass.

A major reason for their success can be attributed to the owner Jeff Vinik and his contributions to the Tampa community and leaving hockey operations totally i the hands of his management team Yzerman thru to JBB.
Aydar Suniev took back the team lead in goals with his 12th of the year. The freshman sniped one past former UMass goaltender Luke Pavicich a minute into the second period to tie the game at two.
“Very few players at this level are going to score that goal,” Carvel said. “He’s a shooter, he’s a scorer, he works on that stuff. You give him a little bit of space to shoot, he’s going to shoot, and that was a heck of a shot.”
Suniev’s goal was important for the momentum after Lowell scored back-to-back goals in the first to take an early 2-1 lead on the Minutemen.
