Good pick up in Henrique. Granted it doesn’t mean anything if they don’t improve their D

You see a domestic abuser in handcuffs, Holland sees a free forward.

If I was a GM I would put in random shots at the Oilers in my moves

Pretty easy to assume that Ceci was a salary off load (camp dump) meaning negative value.
So a 1st round pick less the cap dump
vs
2nd, recent 2nd and a conditional pick
We know the 2024 draft is weaker in the tail end so it kind of adds up, doesn't it?

I do think that the Oilers improved, but that's a pretty steep price. On one hand, I am happy that the Oilers are really pushing all their problems down the road, but Anaheim is going to be a good team again. I didn't think that they would get a first for Henrique (Carrick a throw-in). That's crazy stuff.

If Flames gave up a 1st for Henrique we'd all be going ballistic

So typical Oilers, hey we desperately need to upgrade our D and out goaltending is mediocre, let's get more forwards! Idiots...

The Oilers are being talked about as the #1 threat coming out of the West by almost everyone but people on this forum. Someone giving them their flowers, even a negative Flames fan, doesn't make them an Oilers fan. Stop gate keeping fandom.

This was a good point , especially if we get gotten the same return as the oilers. With first being moved around. I wonder if this would give the Flames some more options

Everything points to them being an Oilers fan, I can point that out if I like. If you think everybody should be waiving pom poms for the Oilers go peddle that #### on a Canucks board. See how that goes.

Oldest team in the league won't have a first after they don't win the cup...sounds good to me

It's an over pay for sure but it helps them get better. Might not improve them as much as other teams loading up though. Avs got a ton better IMO. FLA too

I can't think of a recent example of literally 'Cup or Bust' than this year's Oilers team.

It makes you wonder if the 1st could have been put to better use though.
