Just won an exciting game where Markstrom played great with Zary scoring the winner… and you are all complaining about Huberdeau.

I think we're allowed to be complimentary in losses and critical in wins...

Unfortunately I don't think there's anyone left like that to call up but at least they'll take the opportunity seriously.

There's Klapka and Coronato. Pelletier will hopefully be back to get a decent chunk of games in as well but would be towards the end of the season.

He doesn’t seem like the type of guy who would respond well to that though. The third period benching he had a few games ago has seemed to make him even worse. Such a crippling contract and a marriage that both parties probably regret.
On the plus side the kids continue to impress. Makes the games exciting for me to see their progression. Bring on the youth movement.

Absolutely. Ask yourselves this. Would the Flames be worse off if, say, Emilio Pettersson was playing in place of Huberdeau. Somehow I think they would be better. Pettersson would for sure be more fun to watch.

Coronato has the highest points per game rate of any rookie in the AHL (small sample size be damned)
All is not lost (except if you are name Jonathan, you're lost buddy)

People are pretty hard on Huberdeau, but I don't think anybody here can possibly imagine what he has been going through since the trade.
Imagine being the best or among the best at what you do for your entire life and then--immediately following the best season of your career--it's just gone. It doesn't matter what you do or how hard you train, it's just gone. Things that have always worked don't work anymore. And there is no turnaround in sight.
It's no wonder he seems a bit lost out there, and I hope he can find his way back--mostly for his (and the team's) sake and partly so I can enjoy reading CP again. The Huberdeau hate-fest circle jerk spam from some posters is unbearable.

Good to see Zary and Poplinski taking it to the next level. Conroy said he was going to give the youth a chance and they did.

I said it before, but when Pelletier comes back, put him with Hubie and watch the two of them tear it right up.

Wouldn't surprise if this discussion comes up. Who Is going to want him unless the Flames retain? No-one is going to offer a first for a guy that won't even try. That said, Flames will likely bring in someone he can play with before they consider mutual trade options.

Or suck the life right out of Pelletier. He looks like the mistake that changes the way a league does business.

Tear what up?
Their rotator cuffs?

Be as negative as you want, but I stand by my optimism. Pelly and Hubie had excellent chemistry (granted in limited time) and I honestly believe Pelly could rejuvenate Huberdeau's game. Pelletier also played the perfect shooter to Huberdeau's passer.
