3rd line seems reasonable for a first game. Huska also said he'd get some PP time.
But i get everyone is in the mode of finding fault with everything right now.

I'm probably just over-sensitive to the Calgary way of trying to turn skilled players into grinders and checkers.

Yep. If Huska keeps the lines the same he's screwing up, if he juggles them he's screwing up, if he puts rookies who are struggling in the top 6 he's screwing up, if he puts young guys in the bottom 6 he's screwing up.
Blaming the coaches right now is so boring and lame.
Time for the players to actually do something.

I mean, In fairness to me, I've been pretty consistent in my criticism this season. I get that it seems like people are all over the place, but some want things one way, others want things a different way and still others want things a third way.
I just want Coronato in the top 6 long enough to be comfortable, instead of one shift here and another shift there and 4th line duty for every other shift.

Huska is a rookie coach who has stepped into a terrible situation. He may end up being the worst coach ever but it's not fair to point at him right now. Players need to take responsibility after getting Sutter fired.

Didn't he play with Lindholm and Dube last game?

Hunt is a plug. Is what he is.
The spot next to Backlund is a great place to put newbs. Tkachuk seemed to learn pretty well there. That is where Coronato or Zary should go. The other goes with Kadri or Lindholm.
The only reason to do anything else with the lines is to subversively sink the team without Mur noticing.

I agree with FanIn80. Skill players who are supposed to be top 6 players should get more time in the top 6 to get comfortable with the role, not bounced up and down the lineup and somehow end up on the 4th line because reasons(?).

This goes against what Huska and Conroy previously said about giving young guys chances. Huska even said that he sees Zary as a top 6 forward.
Sure, ease him into the lineup and don't put pressure on him to be the top line center right away. I get that. But something doesn't seem right to me. Veterans are not performing. How they look on the ice, performance and how they carry themselves doesn't match their words. I wonder if they're pouting and trying to call the shots with a rookie coach.

I just want to see
huby-kadri-lindholm (scoring and creativity offensive starts)
Coleman-Backlund-Coronato (2-way mostly d-zone starts swap Coronato out if he can't get good defensively)
Mangiapane-dube-sharangovich (speedy north south line)
Ruzy/Deuhr/Grier/Zary (reliable energy guys auditioning for greater roles)
(eventually pelletier will change the lineup depth)
Weegar-Anderson (big minutes all situations)
Hanifin-Tanev (Taney hopefully raises Hanifins value)
Zad-gilbert (tough, little mistake prone, low minutes, z gets 1st pair pk minutes)
Wolf (not 20 up or 20 out but getting closer to the latter)
Anyone (tank commander backup)

We have lost five in a row.. There is plenty of blame to go around.
Huska is showing his inexperience. It's fair to criticize decisions such as having a career minor leaguer in Hunt go from the pressbox to first line and PP unit.
It's fair to criticize putting Coronato on the 4th line after three strong outings.
It's fair to criticize the complete lack of stability on the lines for a team lacking cohesion and confidence.
Huska, much like the rest of the team is scrambling to find something that works and as a result has made some poor decisions. Every single person needs to be better.

Sure, but the flip side is that, when the team isn't playing well, NO coaching decisions will look good.
Regarding Hunt: the team isn't playing well, and the PP looks like crap. Hunt is working hard, so he gives him ice time, likely as much to send a message as anything else, which I can't disagree with. Fans are frustrated with the lack of effort - coach mixes things up - fans pissed at coach.
NO coach is going to look like a genius when the team is playing like they are.

Toronto-Ottawa-Montreal roadie scheduled for next week.
Someone get Huska and assistants to crack open an 18-pack of Bud with Backs, Hubey and Phat Ras when they're on the train ride to Ottawa and finish the whole thing by the time they arrive. That'll fix it right up right?

It probably doesn’t really make any difference until the players decide to put more effort in.
