Sounds like the system is good but you'll only go as far as your ability to finish will take you, and the Flames don't have much of that.
Heard that they looked tired. It's too early in the year to look tired.

I was annoyed in the Washington game. Tonight I’m lees so. They didn’t play bad. A couple mistakes really.

It needs to be said many many many many more times, that Huberdeau Lindholm Coronato needs to be a thing. For multiple games at the very least. I've been begging for it every game and then literally the most dangerous-looking shift I've seen this season was tonight when the three of them accidentally found themselves out there together.

While I understand and have seen hits in the past that have caused the hitter to become airbourne after contact, you can clearly see Andersson's right foot leave the ice before contact is made. He is in the air because he leapt.

Going from Gaudreau and Tkachuk who where the most fun I’ve ever watched to this so abruptly is just something I haven’t gotten over. This team feels like a rebound after a love relationship and I’m bored. I know I’m not going to find love and I’m ready to start over from the beginning, not stay in the next relationship because it’s the safe thing to do.

Ashasx, I went through it frame by frame. You can't tell the exact moment of contact from the second angle, and the direction the bodies move after contact produces the illusion on that view that the hit took place later than it actually did. From what I can see on the first angle, the contact occurred before Andersson's skates left the ice. Also, Andersson's knees are both nearly fully extended for a second or two as he glides and turns sideways as he makes the hit. You can't jump when your knees are straight (try it if you don't believe me).

not sure how that's high, contact is maybe 4.5 feet off the ice
it's like the waist high "high stick"

Yeah that's just not what I see but I'm not going to keep rehashing the same position over and over again. We'll see if any supplemental discipline follows.

I'm not hanging my hat on the league's decision here for sure. But in the, whether I'm right or wrong, the thing that matters is a suspension. I hope there is none.

I also didn't think you could kick a puck when only that foot is on the ice. NHL doesn't adhere to the laws of physics.

Overall an absolutely terrible effort from a lot of key players ESPECIALLY Huberdeau. The game was so boring and one sided for the rat-face-smurfs team, that my only choice was to watch them continuously give up oddman rushes or witness Huby specifically giveaway the puck Every. Dam. Time. in the first two periods
He was marginally better in the third but still completely incompetent with the puck whenever he was on the powerplay, I have no clue what he's even trying to do most of the time but this has to be in the top three of worst game played as a Flame!

The rest were not much different tonight. Bad passing, behind guys, in front of guys, nowhere near guys....just awful attention to detail.
Oh well....clearly they visited Johnny again last night and drank way too much.

Huberdeau was the top forward with 73.1% xGF (and 25% offensive zone starts)
lol
