Sure why not? We can build a pretty sweeet one for $300mil. or even for half that price at $150mil.

Not worried at all. You have a willing partner in the City who agree a new rink is needed. Calgary is the 4th largest population in Canada and still one of the faster growing cities. If they want to move it won’t be supported. Even Bettman was optimistic after recent meetings when he was in town.

Doesn’t Murray also kinda need to have the other owners buying what he’s selling? Can’t imagine the other owners who ultimately want NHL revenue maxed are pumped he cheaped out over $25mm when franchise valuation would have otherwise doubled (and revenues for the Flames by extension). Pretty silly / stupid look for both the city and Flames over that last deal. Sure as #### doesn’t make anyone look “shrewd”.

Only Houston and that’s certainly not a sure thing.

Edwards is all about brinksmanship in negotiations. It works far less well in this business, where has has less leverage, than in a CCAA takeover.

Because I have stockholm syndrome for the Flames since 1981. and I like the Flames(just not the 2022 team...) I don't like the NHL.

It was a mistake nonetheless. I was looking at the wrong column, which had the exact numbers I was quoting. As you know.

Accusations of lying and making up facts is a big deal to me. So I never do it. But I do make plenty of mistakes. And yes, I double down if I don’t recognize the mistake for a while.

You posted in the Toronto/TB game. Odd for someone who only likes the Flames and not the NHL.

I am expecting the team to be sold and moved before an agreement for a new arena is set in stone. Nothing to do with the fans, and everything to do with the city.
Owners should foot the bill for an arena outside the city limits. that way they have 100% ownership and no interference from the city.
