I guess that’s part of the price you pay when you’re a multi million dollar athlete. You’re famous and people want to know. Lots of fans spend lots of money and are very invested in this team. The passion is there and this is why the speculation exists. I don’t like BS rumours but it comes with the territory with something this significant. He missed an entire season of hockey at the age of 26. With no real explanation, after a season where he was a significant piece. Making 2.5 million dollars likely at home. For that price tag he does “owe” the franchise his services as a hockey player which is what every fan wants. I think it’s fantastic that the Flames are supporting him as a human being. But, again, this whole scenario is very bizarre and I’m over it. Credible source or not, it doesn’t confirm anything. He may be in the know and know it all, but to me, to come on here and say no that’s not it, is worth nothing until the truth comes out. Which leaves most of us with our imaginations. The I know something behind the scene schtick on an anonymous forum is tiring but you’re right. It doesn’t matter what I think of it. It’s my opinion just like you’re entitled to believe what he says or say that he’s credible. One thing we can all agree on, I really hope Oliver the person is ok. And I sure as heck hope the Flames can find a way have him off the books like the Oilers find a way if he isn’t a sure thing to come back next season.

I mean I’m sure irritated about many things when it comes to the Flames. That is for sure. But I’m moving on lol. Peace be with you all. See how this plays out I guess.

This is a very well phrased expression of how many people feel IMO. Well said.

Does his contract slide as he didn't play last season?

I looked it up; he'll be 26 next month. Lots of prime left (if he hasn't lost a step).

Feels like the Flames kinda lost some of their heart between 2021–22 and 2022–23. I think Kylington would bring some of that back.

I don't know. Feels to me more like they lost their only two elite players which they actually did.

Insert “why not both gif”
You’re both not wrong honestly.

I’d like to run (and sorry if the left/right are wrong)

Andersson-Weegar
Zadorov-Kylington
Stecher-Poirier

Move Tanev and Hanifin out, somehow bring in a top 6 goal scorer which this team is lacking
That is a pretty terrible group of defensemen. If we are going that weak might as well go all out and move at least one if not all 3 of Anderson, Zadorov and Weegar (if we can).

Don’t think so - they paid him. He was put on injured reserve. Just like, say, Landeskog (well, he was on LTIR)
