Still doesn’t get out of that Huberdeau contract.

No flashy stars, no personalities, no young guys with high potential.
There’s no storylines at all. Which isn’t a criticism really, it’s just what it is. The hockey has been alright and I’m still as confident as ever it’ll get better as the season goes on, but there’s no “extra layer” of interest this year.

Seriously do we have the worst #1 line in hockey right now?

To me it's as simple as this: team success in this league is driven by your star players, more than probably any time in its history.
The Flames don't have any stars. We have nothing resembling stars coming through the system.
This team can only get older and worse. And that begins with Treliving and stops with Murray Edwards.

Digging into the top line a bit more:
Huberdeau-Lindholm-Toffoli: 1.13 Goals/60, 42% GF%
Lindholm-Toffoli (no Huberdeau): 4.22 Goals/60, 60% GF%
Huberdeau (no Lindholm or Toffoli): 2.39 Goals/60, 71% GF%
They're all better with the line split up.

At this point it's either Sutter or Trelivong going. Either Trelivong paid Huberdeau 3x his value or Sutter is incapable of puttijg him in a position to succeed. Don't care which one goes at this point, but would really prefer a total house cleaning.

We dominated?
What the ozone time? Turnover? Don't give me shots on net bs because that's all it is directing trash into the chest.
It's ok to admit the team is not good and the coach has no clue what he is doing.

Come on… seriously?
Martin 35 saves, .921 sv%, no goals against in shootout
Markstrom 24 saves, .889 sv%, .500 sv% in shootout
Markstrom is not having a good season, let’s stop sugar-coating it.

Yeah, people need to look at more than just save percentage when judging who was the better goalie. When a goalie gets more shots of course his save percentage is going to jump.
The Flames made it pretty easy for Martin in the shootout too.

All the goals the Canucks scored were stoppable. I'll give him a pass on the third one as it was a pretty high quality chance, but man oh man, he has cost this team some points this season.

I didn't know much about weegar but do far he's not all that great either.
This ain't the year. How refreshing would it be to see the flames make some dramatic changes by the deadline looking more to the future

They're the Flames. They'll continue to win four lose five and call it ".500" and "in a tight playoff race"
