being a fan of a sutter team, almost feels like you want that scene from Moneyball to happen.
Tre: "Daryl, you can't play Markstrom tonight"
Sutter: " how many times do i have to tell you, i'm playing who i want" Tre: "No you can't play him, i traded him, now you have to play Vladar"

Yah I know… a franchise that knows how to lose. Should ride the hot hand.

I just don’t agree. Huberdeau signed here, he wants to be here.
Sutter is actively punishing him for a slow start. Playing one of the league’s best passers with Backlund and Coleman is criminally stupid.
(I think Sutter is a top-5 coach, but his start to this season is just as bad as Markstrom’s)

What a pitiful start. Someone call me when the Flames' so-called star players wake up and play hockey. I'm losing interest fast.

There should be zero debate as to who the starter should be moving forward.

This roster is a disaster up front.

Huberdeau-Lindholm-Mangiapane. Trust me, this will work. Mangiapane and Lindholm both have a knack for finding soft spots in ice for a pass, and they can all possess the puck well enough to open up those chances. Lindholm and Mangiapane are solid defensively, and Huberdeau has come a long way since the start of the year.
Ruzicka-Kadri-Toffoli. Kadri is the defensive player while Rosie and Toff can cycle with him to create some plays. All 3 guys can shoot, they just need a small opening. Pretty good size and physicality here.
Dube-Backlund-Coleman. Dube is a checker to me. His speed complements the cerebral game of Backlund and the effort of Coleman. Plus, Backlund can cover up any warts in Dube's awareness of the ice.
Lewis-Rooney-Ritchie. Lucic has been baaaad for a while now. Rooney sucks, but at least he can play center. It's a 4th line in desperate need of a youth injection. Play them less than 10 minutes a night and you'll be fine.

Huberdeau needs to get off of this line. He’s not contributing at all and the team desperately needs him to. Playing him with two third liners isn’t going to get him going.

It’s definitely worth trying. I was just thinking with how bad Mang has looked, re-homing him with Coleman and Backlund may be the best chance to get him going.

He doesn’t click with Lindholm(Same Tendancies)
He doesn’t click with Toff(Slow)
He doesn’t click with Kadri(Selfish player in the OZone)
He clicks with Backlund because he drives the net, problem is Coleman is on a vacation.

I'm pretty sure huby wasn't doing anything and he tried him with backlund and they had chemistry and were great a couple games together , and he hasn't played well enough to earn the higher line back? imo that's why, he's not punishing him.
