Canucks back in the race. Got like 7 teams battling for those wildcard spots.

Next couple weeks are critical. Probably see a team or two drop off

Everytime the Canucks get a two goal lead my ptsd triggers and simon and Garfunkel start playing in my head.

After last year with the Panthers winning the President's trophy and the Flames easily winning their dvision, this season has been a bummer so far. I might have to watch *shudder* basketball instead.

Do they miss Weegar or was that a mirage? Not that he’s been great here so far…

Well first of all I disagree that he hasn't been great in Calgary. He's easily our most consistent defender and rarely gives up high quality chances when he's on the ice. He isn't making as many offensive rushes, but I would imagine that's part of Darryl's coaching. He does have some abilities, but has yet to find a way to consistently create offense...but then so does the rest of the team, so it's probably not a Weegar problem.

They definitely miss Weegar in Florida. He was the top pairing partner of Ekblad which allowed him to go on offense while Weegar handled the d-zone. He breaks up tons of plays that lead to quick transitions the other way. He fit very well into the Florida system, but only Forsling plays a similar game. In general, that team just has bad depth on defense. Montour has really stepped up this year, but there just isn't enough talent on the back end that isn't completely ancient (Staal).

Final scores

https://www.espn.com/nhl/scoreboard/_/date/20221126

Jack Hughes gets the hat trick in the Devils 5-1 win over the Capitals.

The other retro Patrick Division game had the Islanders defeating the Flyers 5-2. Ryan Pulock had 4 assists in this intense game. It was the first game of a home/away series with the next game on Tuesday. The rough stuff happened with just over 3 minutes left in the game.

The Avs won 4-1 over the Stars. Georgiev made 41 saves in the win. Pavelski with the Stars only goal.

All 4 games on HNIC were in the USA.

Martin has to be the "starter" going forward until Demko gets out of his funk.

That makes Demko an expensive backup... but you have to think he'll turn around his game eventually?
