I remember that was out there, but I believe he played a couple games with England since so I believe it's no longer possible. Happy to be proved wrong though.

You can play up to 3 games under 21 and still switch.
Tomori played against Italy in Nations League this year at age 24, so that should lock him in.

That’s unfortunate. It’s likely he wouldn’t have come to represent Canada even if he hadn’t played that game, though. Having a CB of that caliber would have been huge.

Tomori absolutely should have made the team, even start if it's a back 3
Maguire has played almost as much up front for United this season then at CB

I'm hearing this a lot from the pundits.
Generally speaking, people seem happy enough with England's squad, with the exception of Maguire over Tomori.

Rice played 5 games U21 and 3 senior friendly games for Ireland before switching.
Grealish 6 U21 games.
Not going to pretend I know much about Tomori but a Serie A starting CB winner has to carry some weight especially when balanced against a slow error laden clown that can hardly get a few minutes in any game of significance.

sorry, not 3 U21 games
3 senior games while you're under the age of 21.
Tomori has played in a euro qualifier, world cup qualifier and nations league all over the age of 21 so he's definitely cap-tied.

Croatia have included Dejan Lovren in their squad! If for whatever reason he plays against Canada its like starting the match up 1-0!

He probably doesn’t start for Croatia but he’s not junk
Plus he plays better for Croatia than he did for Liverpool. Can’t comment on his Zenit performance since no one watches Russian football haha.

His value was established at the last Euros. At least he does card tricks, sing songs and organizes quizzes.

I mean...we're not breaking any new ground here, FIFA took corruption and dialed it up to 11.
Awarding Russia and Qatar at the same time so the sitting committees could take maximum bribes before riding off into the sunset was as plain as day.
I'm glad it pissed off the USA to the point where they actually mobilized some of their influence to actually do something about it but I dont think Warner, Glazer, Platini or Blatter & Co. actually ever suffered any real consequences.
Nobody spent a day in jail, maybe a few bucks were paid back? I'm not entirely sure about that either.

I watched this over the past few days and it’s a great series. I can’t say there was a lot new there, but the sheer audacity is still striking. It’s bizarre to me that a guy like Chuck Blazer was able to be a part of this though. The guy had nothing to do with soccer other than his kids teams and it sounds like he didn’t really care about it. I guess when he got to a certain point though, it’s all about the grift and the sport is really just a vehicle.

One thing I already don't like - game 1 being on a Sunday.
WTH. These usually start Thursday/Friday to give a great opening weekend of Football!

Well you know what they always say in Qatar… if you’re going to #### up a World Cup, then #### it up completely.

I believe Qatar and many other countries in the Middle East follow a Friday - Saturday weekend. It used to be Thursday/Friday just a few years back.
This way the first game is happening on what would locally be a Monday.
