I'm upset because I booked the day off work, bought decorations and fireman hats and a giant Baked Alaska for the Unveiling ceremony.
What'll they tell us next? That there's no Great Pumpkin?

So I've heard that the announcement had nothing to do with Scorch.
And then when people all assumed it meant Scorch was coming back that they changed plans of out of fear of people burning down the saddledome when Scorch wasn't the announcement.
TL;DR...somebody in marketing might have made an error in using that gif.

there are no mistakes! the mistake was fated to show the organization how much demand there is for scorch's return . hopefully they actually consider it now . he is the only choice for the Wranglers mascot

I mean, looking at all the excitement of fans when they assumed it was about Scorch coming back, I don't get why the Flames don't just give in and embrace that beautiful monstrosity in some capacity. Seems easy enough to score some fan points.

If the fans want Scorch back, why is it so hard for the Flames to just bring him back?
Just make him the ####ing mascot for the Wranglers. This really isn't complicated. This isn't like changing the constitution or something, it's selecting a ####ing mascot, and the fans have made it incredibly easy for the Flames to do so.
