I truly hope he finds his health and in line his game. May he one day venture back to this team if that happens. A true class act

Monahan scores 15 but looks to be improving and becomes UFA at end of the season. Signs back with Calgary at 4x$3-4M in 2023-24 and scores 20-30 on Kadri’s wing.

Just an A++ person.

I didn't really celebrate Kadri until the next day because initially Sean leaving was harder than Kadri signing was exciting. And that's saying a lot.

Felt just like a long time friend moving across the country.

BUMP.

Wanted to wait a couple of days but Monahan is deserving of his own special sendoff. It's easy to forget how prolific he was just a few years ago and how much those injuries have hurt him. Will anyone be sad if he lights it up a little in Montreal?

The Flames chapter of Monahan's NHL story is closed but the last couple of years don't diminish what he did in his early life and career in Calgary.

I really do believe that Monahan will be back with the Flames in the future - ala Cammalleri - after a bit of time in Montreal.

It's rare that I cheer for a player after he leaves the Flames.

But I will always cheer this player.

Interesting. I can't see it happening given all the changes but after the Conroy return I'll never say never again.

We’ll just call it a conditioning stint.

Going to miss Sean the most out of the "big 3". Always wanted more out of him, but knowing what he was playing through proved that he always tried his best. Never complained, never sulked, and was a solid professional both on and off the ice.

Can't say I've ever gone into a season hoping for a specific Masterton winner, but I really really really hope Moneyhands wins it next season.

Monahan was a really special player. We were so lucky to have had him for so long. He's the only player jersey I have ever had.

I think the magic is that he really did have such an amazing work ethic and did everything he could given his circumstances while almost never complaining. Everything comes to an end, but i'm with everyones sentiments that it's a tough reality.

If he has an okay year he ends up in Toronto with Brodie and Gio next year IMO.

Depends on cap and a bunch of other things. But sure, they’d be a player. Another hometown discount.

Good on Sean for eating that dry, burnt piece of toast.

They clearly need to change the setting from 3 to 2 on the toaster.

Damn, so strange to see him in another jersey. And #91? Nah man, 23 for life.

Rooting hard him and hope he can have a good season.

Gotta get used to seeing him wearing #91. Just doesn’t feel right

Really embracing the boring Sean Monahan trend, lol.
