I had heard those little arm flames were also going to be on the leaked and scrapped Black C prototype we saw a little while ago. Pretty cool to see that rumour confirmed here.

Snot Horse
Snot Horse
Snot Horse
Snot Horse

In shops across the nation
The thoroughbred of ire.
Distasteful abrogation
of the C of fire

It fails evaluation
a terrible attire
a heinous face, a booger source
and flags would make it worse of course

Snot Horse
Snot Horse
Snot Horse
It’s bad

National league of hockey
is watching so beware
the grade that you receive
will be an F, we swear

So make the snot horse defunct
or he’ll make us despair

You’re sweatered up,
There’s no recourse.
You’re wearing black now.
Signed, Snot Horse.

Red shoulders would look awful. I also think the arm flames are cheesy and should have been left off, as they spoil what is otherwise a simple but great looking jersey.

The comment about the red shoulders does bring up another question though. I have an original Blasty as well as two white (90’s pedestal home and 2020 away with shoulder flags) jerseys that never get worn to the dome because they’re not red. As jerseys typically aren’t daily wear apparel unless you’re a hip hop artist and the only time most of us would wear one would be to go to a game, it does beg the question whether buying these is worth the expense.

Ok for regular season use.

So it's a reverse retro with flames on the sleeves? Love the shirt its one of my favourites but also feels like a missed opportunity to do something different. I don't know if I will buy something so similar to one I already have.

The flame cuffs are a bit unnecessary though, they might grow on me but right now it feels like something you'd see on a second division European league jersey, wheres the comically oversized Skoda ad fellas, keep it clean. Will be mostly covered by the gloves anyway I guess

If this is the new 3rd jersey for the Flames, then it is a pretty lazy effort, bascially the same as RR. They could have tweaked the RR just a bit more, say with red at the bottom like the original blasty.

The RR was loved by almost everyone. They literally didn’t have enough jerseys to meet demand.

It was a no brainer to bring it back as a third jersey. It’s a money maker.

I think it’s a perfect third jersey too. The black out is a great look and it’s just crazy enough where it’s great as an alternate but too much as a full time jersey. It works because they’ve perfected the home and away kits.

I just wish the stripes were a little wider or a white stripe was added too.

The RR blasty looked good (especially the white C shoulder logos, and the pedestal pants), but it looked too black on TV to me.

White stripe below the yellow would look great.

No sleeve Flames...

This was what I wanted when it was revealed, I think the extra white stripe would have made a huge difference for how the uniform looked on TV / from the stands. I also "fixed" the captain's C to match the numbers. The default is to match the letters, which is white outlined by red only. Again, just something I thought looked better.

Oh well. The Flames jersey guy had this to say back when it was released in regards to the added white stripe:
