That was why.

I recall Walt scoring a one punch knockout in a fight.

Tkachuk actually has the highest percentage in Flames history. Monahan second.

Huselius and Versteeg have lower career numbers but I can't find their percentages isolated to Flames.

The players with super high shootout numbers include a lot of unexpected names: eg Eric Christensen scored 68 normal goals in an 11 year career but he also has 29 goals in shootout 55 attempts.

Where's Joe Colbourne. I remember that was the one thing he was good at.

When it comes to the shootout, one Flame stands above all others.

He has a high % (44.4) but only 18 attempts (8 goals). I was generally looking at guys with more tries than that.

dammit Rob Schremp. there he is.

Jussi Jokinen is the name I always associate with shootouts, in the end- alot of goals but his percentage not noteworthy. interesting list of other guys (Nielson, Boyes, Vrbata) who were I guess just high volume shootout takers

I know Sutter uses analytics but I guess he probably thought Toffoli was overdue as he has the lowest conversion rate in the history of shootouts amongst players with 10 or more attempts!

That’s just weird. The guy is a shooter who excels when he has a lot of time and space in the game. Yet in OT he’s weak. 1 for 14. Yuck.

ETA: Now I can find the stats - Versteeg was 4 for 7 as a flame.

Colborne has highest percentage in Flames silk with 10 or more shots. Jokinen is first with 10 or more goals.

Mangiapane, Lindholm, Phaneuf, Brodie, Ferland, Kobasew, Bennet, Jankowski, Baertschi, Neal, Nolan and Morrison a combined 0/38....wow. and thats a combination of good players and high Flames draft choices (very few players are both , LOL)
