Thank goodness they won this game.

I've been out of the loop, why is Jarnkrok out? I assume it's an injury...how bad?

doesn't mean alot in isolation, but over a stretch of games can underscore a team riding a hot or cold streak...top teams may have slight better goaltending and finishers, but the band across the league is usually pretty tight, sometime teams go on a run of outlier performances

Can you imagine what a playoff series between the McOilers and these divers will look like?

Hockey is being ruined.

Non-Covid related illness apparently.

The officiating was bad but I think some of the blame for that has to go to Sean Durzi. That was truly some of the most embarrassing and blatant embellishment I’ve ever witnessed in a hockey game.

He will go down as the only player in NHL history to be choke-slammed by Johnny Gaudreau, and then acts like his arm snapped him half after a love tap from Tkachuk only to be firing bombs on the ensuing power play. Not only is that embarrassing for the game to begin with but it makes the refs look stupid too.

Thankfully the Hockey Gods took note and gave him a cheap penalty at the end.

Sean Durzi is no good.

If the Kings scored they would have had a PP in overtime FFS

The problem with the Tkachuk call and review is that I don’t think it was called initially.

Play continued with Gaudreau having the puck, and the whistle only blew when the Kings got possession.

You can only review to confirm a double minor if the call was made initially, but unless we couldn’t hear the whistle on TV it doesn’t seem like the call was made initially.

I have no respect for how the Kings played this game. The amount of embellishment and whining is the worst I’ve seen from any team outside of the Oilers this season. Embarrassed themselves and the officials tonight but got what they deserved with the regulation loss.

That’s not what happened. But what happened tonight is within the replay rules.

Even though it looked like a Kings stick lifted MTs? I don’t think it was correct at all.

Oh well that was a gut check win Johnny is at another level.
The reffing was terrible and Daneault must have been watching clips of Kovalev in the ‘04 playoffs.
NSFW!

He drops like he was shot leaving his teammate to defend an empty net.

Tough as nails.

Great win, glad they overcame some weak play in the first to come back and lock it down.I thought the calls were very weak in the third. The high stick may have been the right call but it’s effect was amplified by the weak calls before it. The PK and Markstrom held the fort.

Good on both teams for making it entertaining, despite stupid ****ing game management. Way to be subtle about it too.
