Gotta say, this interview with Chris Snow, his wife, and his awesome kids is such a beautiful and inspiring antidote to all the stupid, embarrassing bulls*** we witnessed in Ottawa earlier today. These people restore my faith in humanity.

Maybe people should watch things like this before being so critical of our billionaire owners.

Snow’s mission reminds me a bit of Terry Fox’s. They both used unbelievably tough situations to do amazing things to inspire hope, raise awareness, and bring financial support for medical research.

Great outcome, but the most exciting part of the game might have been the tension in 219 over whether a brawl was going to break out. The world's most obnoxious Canuck fan yelling "Markstrom you're a bum, Markstrom you're a sellout" over and over and over the entire second period, other than the arguments that erupted with nearby fans. Thought he and his buddies might have gotten ejected when he told an usher to F off, but nope.

Johnny sure shut him up in OT, though.

Chris has to push his jaw up to make certain sounds and can’t swallow or use his right hand. And here he is giving an interview, cracking jokes, working in a high level, raising children. And his wife is there enduring god knows the sort of grief along with him.

Very inspiring.

As someone with a rare visual condition that sometimes plays into social interactions/work life where there are good and bad days, I can truly empathize with having unusual challenges living day to day. I love seeing their care-free and upbeat attitude towards his situation and his insistence to just focus on the joys of life.

To hear him use the word "grateful" truly hits home and makes me want to be a more grateful person myself.

This is a great interview. Thanks Scott & HNIC.

I’m hard on CC when it comes to color commentary but she is a solid calgarian and this is excellent - not only are the Snows inspirational but there are many great folks in the hockey world -

He cut off his kid expressing his love for McDavid I'm sorry that's funny.

What do billionaire owners have to do with the Snow family and their courage? They didn’t fire a guy with a disability? So commendable.

What’s hilarious is Johnny closed the gap behind McDavid to 6 pts in a 1-0 win while McDavid goes pointless against a brutal Habs team with a third string goalie.

Man, that game was painful to watch. I just kept waiting for some dumb shot to pinball off three flames and into our net....it just felt like a game where we were getting "goalied" yet again.

Flames REALLY need to find a way to get pucks to the net while a guy is actually in front of it. WAY too many one-and-done shots....again.

Glad we won, but please...Van is not a good team and that game should have been over in the first period. Credit them for playing their trap well, though. Ugh.

---

Turned off the TV cause the wife was yelling at me that it was too loud and totally forgot about Chris Snow. I'll have to see if I can find that online somewhere.

The Flames Foundation and one of the owners I know personally have donated hundreds of thousands to ALS research.

For billionaires, my donation makes theirs look pitiful.

But Chris made it clear he was only cheering for McDavid every four years...

Good on you that you donated, but c'mon, no donation is pitiful.

Ok. Let's not spoil a nice evening by arguing what appropriate donations look like. I simply made the point they are charitable folks.
