Though Sutter was fired, IIRC on his way out, saying the team likely needed a different voice after that long, and Lombardi did have a tough time pull the trigger on that one, as evidenced by him rehiring Darryl in LA.

I’ve always liked Maurice. The Tkachuk incident was unfortunate, but I viewed it then as a coach just trying to gain a competitive advantage for his team.

Would love to see him on Sportsnet - maybe in a refreshed version of Coaches Corner?

I’m sure he’ll be back in the league soon though.
