"you see it doesn't work!" when a vaccinated person tests positive by covid...Yet, someone with very basic understanding of vaccines realizes these cases are actually proof it does work as there are almost no serious outcomes for the vaccinated. 95% of serious outcomes being the unvaccinated.
Vaccines are working exactly as intended...morons spreading misinformation is the only thing holding them back
Yeah, I think the fact that it’s being reported that they’re all asymptotic is evidence it does work.
The vaccine was never marketed as a prevention for infection, it was marketed as a prevention for serious illness and death as a result of the infection, and it’s quite good at doing that.
It’s astounding how people can still be questioning the efficacy of the vaccine. I understood the hesitancy at first, but at this point there’s no evidence to support it any longer. It’s okay to admit you were wrong. No one will judge you for it. What we will judge you for is refusing to change your opinion when presented with clear evidence to the contrary.

Fully anticipate Kirkland and Duehr getting the calls.
And I guess in theory it does make sense, why dismantle the top line completely down there, but still I really want to see Phillips get a look that’s longer than the last game of a season… I’ve always had high hopes for Phillips and have tracked him since his draft and I think despite his size he wouldn’t look out of place in the bottom 6 of an NHL team if he’s lined up with enough size. I think too if he was given a 3 to 5 game audition he’d take it and run (see Nathan Walker in St.Louis) but I’m obviously a little biased with as much time I’ve invested with tracking Phillips development.
Sutter seems to prefer replacing fit for fit, so can definitely see Pelletier and Phillips draw in if we miss some scoring forwards (Lindholm and Mangiapane)

Don't get me wrong, I would be thrilled to see Phillips finally get his due.

I’m taking your angle on all this more seriously than most so hearing that Kirkland and Duehr are locks for call ups from you is a little disheartening is all! I’ve always appreciated your insight on the farm club especially since you started your coverage of them and I love your opinions on Phillips. From them I feel like Phillips is overdue for a chance especially with guys like Pitlick, Ritchie and Richardson eating up minutes this year.
Phillips looked bad in the pre-season and if he isn't producing then he won't be contributing much. My guess is they go with more bottom 6 type guys.
I mean, I don't doubt that they will, but why does it make sense to recall bottom-6 type guys when two of their top scorers are out? Shouldn't they recall two of their top scorers from Stockton?
Gawdin is up there, too, but he's a pending UFA and has always projected as a bottom-six guy. Pelletier is probably best suited for top-six minutes right now and Phillips has always been top-nine or bust.
Also, how many preseason games did Phillips play, two? I wouldn't put much stock into that at all, especially because he wasn't playing with very good linemates.

Lots of players looked bad in the preseason… others looked good. It really isn’t the best way to judge talent I mean every year we hear about some unknown from Edmonton being regaled as the next big thing only to disappear come the regular season. As it sits Phillips is dominating games on the top line for the top team in the AHL right now and could prove to add some offensive pop to the lineup come Saturday if guys like Mangiapane and Lindholm are still MIA.

They won't be giving them top six roles even if top six players are out. They will move 3rd liners like Lucic, Monahan or Dube) up the lineup and put rookies into bottom six.
