I find it rich Oiler fans talk like Markstrom is single handedly winning the Flames every game given the fact they have literally two players who single handedly get them every W.
I would love to know the last time the Oilers won a game where McAvi and Raisaitl didn’t score a point.

Yeah, oddly I agree. I've always hated Millen but he's been real good for this stretch of games.
Oiler fans talking about Markstrom "saving" our season? Saving it from what? Do they think they're miles ahead of us or something?

Mark storms been good, but we have nearly the same amount of wins even if we had merely league average goaltending.

I like Millen even though he has at least three pronunciations for our backup goaltender.

If Hrudey is conflicted with HNIC, I'd prefer Millen over Cassie. Otherwise the best combo is Ball/Hrudey

I've said it before (and maybe I'm just a big Lucic shill now) but the contributions he makes to goals-for often don't land him on the scoresheet...
Tonight's Richardson goal was a prime example of this--Lucic causes that whole play by (a) stopping the Isles breakout and (b) slashing the forward's stick (causing the puck to go directly to Richardson) and yet, because he never actually touched the puck, he isn't credited with an assist.
He doesn't get enough credit for his overall hockey smarts, IMO.

McDavid and Draisaitl are double handedly getting the Oilers every single win.

I find it amazing they took even a minute away from complaining that McDavid doesn’t get enough drawn penalties.

At 10-3-5, the Flames have points in 15 of 18 games, or 83.3%. And they have done that despite a brutal schedule.
Over the last 6 years, the team that finished 1st overall got points in about 80% of the games each year - the lowest was 78% and the highest was 80.5%
Obviously they can't maintain this pace, but anyone that looks at their record and says 'pfft, they're 10-8', is just being purposely obtuse.
This is a good hockey team. And even better - they are an entertaining hockey team.

So, some really good signs so far.
Road record is incredible.
I would really expect more home dominance.
Recalling when Darryl Sutter took over the last time, I recall focus on making home ice a difficult place to play, and beating Edmonton. He really made a big deal about beating Edmonton.

It was a good game and good win by the Flames, they capitalized on their chances and breaks along with a good game by Jacob Markstrom.
First goal by Brad Richardson was a turnover and the 2 goals by Andrew Mangiapane were good slight deflections.
Flames were 2/4 on the PP but were slightly outshot 36-31.
Isles came on strong in the third but it wasn't enough, Flames were able to hold them off.
Brad Richardson with the historic first goal in the new arena.
