The problem is the cost to acquire may make us weaker until he's ready to come back from injury, which may not even be this season with the way it's dragging out

Gaudreau looks like a different player out there. He seems to be the first forward back every time even ahead of Lindholm the center. He is playing the best he has played since his 99 point season.

I would say even better as he is playing good defence as well.

Not that it bothers me, but I’m curious, when did sneakers with suits become THE thing to wear? And why couldn’t this happen before work from home was a thing?

Great win all around, this feels like it felt like when bill peters flames team was really rolling in the first season.

Nah this feels like 03/04 Sutter with more offence

Watched the Philly feed of the Flames goals.

PBP guy: "The Flames get that puck in and just hound the puck".

This is better than 99pt Gaudreau, this is Boston College Gaudreau.

Not gonna lie guys, I don't think the Oilers is a good matchup for us in the playoffs. We cannot stop McJesus... he loves playing against us.

Great to see the Flames 3rd overall, but also 3rd overall in GA and tied for 3rd overall in GF too.

I Kylington is just reaching a new level now. I saw him make one mistake tonight - just happened to fan on a pass. Other than that, you can just see the confidence growing in him. Guess who wasn't terrible tonight? Zadorov looked way more stable back there tonight.

Monahan is coming back to form. If he does, then this team is going to be really dangerous.

It is just really nice to see the whole team working together and working hard. Good coaching is everything. It doesn't matter if you change the coach 100x if you don't hire a proper good coach at least once. Just night and day difference. I think the acquisitions this year has definitely helped as well in cementing the identity, but Sutter is the leader of this team, and everyone is playing hard for him and for each other. It is so nice to see.

Damn exciting start to the season indeed!

And his long term health is a question mark. I'd rather this team stick with what they have, than pay a king's ransom for a somewhat injury-prone player.

What are you, 5 years old?

Its too bad you can't be blocked as I am sure there are many who would love the opportunity. I think you just have your underwear in a knot since I called you out in embarassing fashion a few seasons ago around the Flames and Sharks fighting for a playoff spot
