Take a look at the ice time for tonight. Darryl basically just rolled 4 lines and 3 D pairs all night. That’s a nice luxury to have.

Great game by the Flames. That was beautiful Sutter hockey. Will be nice when Mathew decides to join the boys.

Andersson stepping it up after last season is huge too.

There was a lot of hype and promise around him 2 summers ago. Good to see flashes and a bit of edge from him again.

Sometimes it's better to just name your head coach your captain...

I love the relentless style. Once we can get our PP clicking on all cylinders, we could really do some damage.

I really like the forward pairings in the top 9 after they moved Monahan down the lineup. Dube and Mangiapane look excellent together, and Coleman brings a ton to that third line. The Dube/Mangiapane emergence looks like it could be the real thing.

The team still needs a legit top line talent (Eichel, ahem) and probably a top 4D, but some good signs early on.

At least we know what this team is capable of.

God that was actually fun to watch. The last game I watched years ago caused me physical pain.

On a 5 game road trip, I look at it this way:

Points / rating

0-3: F - disaster
4: D - not good enough
5: C - okay
6: B - good job
7: A - great job
8-10: A+

Six points so far

Yeah, he looks a lot faster now. He can step into the play and still get back in time. He also seems to pick his spots better, which usually just comes with experience.

Only 2 Flames skaters not credited with a shot on goal tonight. Coleman with a whopping 8.

Missed watching this one but looks and sounds like a textbook Sutter win.
Great to see the team scoring a healthy number of goals in recent games too, as that was my biggest concern for the group.
Excellent stuff

Coleman is better than Hyman by a margin, Hyman has always played with superstars and has inflated stats. Coleman does it on his own and was a shut down player for the Lightning in their 2 cup runs, far superior player

Backlund and Coleman look better and better together each game.

Could be something really good happening here.

Sutter doesn't like entitlement. He also is very good at calling a spade a spade. If you're not putting in the effort he won't waste any time. Pretty sure he remembers Tkachuk from last season. That player will be nipped in the bud.

Coleman is so “sneaky” skilled…..easy to overlook him if he’s not on your Team…..incredible to watch when he’s on our Team…

Coleman is working for us, Hyman seems to be working for them. Not sure why the need to compare the two (not directed at you, just a general comment).
