Of the top ten picks in 2016, Tkachuk is 6th in playoff scoring. The only player's he's ahead of are two guys who have never played a play-off game (lol Juolevi) and two guys who have only made one trip.

He’s 23 years old. Think I’ll give him at least another kick at the can before I call him a “proven non playoff performer”. Now Monahan and Gaudreau I might agree with you. And I think that speaks a lot on Tkachuk in general and why I’d be hesitant to call him that. This team as a whole has been a playoff non-performer ever since MT came into the league.

His rookie season he had 0P in 4 GP. Tough to be critical there.
The next crack he had at it he had 3 P in 5 GP. I wouldn’t call that terrible. And then yes last season outside of a few games he was underwhelming.
Far too small of a sample size to be making any judgements.
