Kind of agree. Most season opening games of flames make me wonder what the hell was the point of training camp? At least they played great for a period and not bad in the third. I took way more positives out of this seasons opener , than years past.

It was the timing of it that hindered other teams from putting a claim in.

Fans throughout the league, Elliott Friedman among others were shocked he wasn’t claimed.

He still has a long way to go but let’s not kid ourselves. He still has solid potential and has already proven he can play at the NHL level, albeit in a sheltered role so far.

I never said he was terrible just the whole "under rated by flames fans" doesn't seem right.

NHL GMs don't rate him that high...not one thought he was an improvement on anyone in their top 6
