Man, tough to blame Hart on the Crosby goal. Who can account for his elite hand eye on the fly like that. That puck had no business being batted out of the air like that. Just Crosby doing Crosby things.

But why is the goalie trying to make a play like that?

Goalies try to do too much with the puck. Just give it to the defenseman. Or better yet, stay in your net.

The risk reward trade-off is negative when goalies handle the puck and try to make plays.

Just saw the Janko goal. Don't think he spent that much time in front of the net in his entire tenure in Calgary.
