With a game like that, he's giving himself a good shot to have an NHL floor.

There is some questionable defending from Canada in this game to say the least.

Pelletier steals the puck in the offensive zone, creates a scoring chance and Byrom hits the crossbar.

It's the extended exposure to Edmonton.

I’d prefer to see him on a line with Zibanejad and Kane.

Do you think there is any chance Pelletier makes it this season?

I don’t really think so, but if Lindholm and Bennett are at centre, I could see him playing on a tough minutes line with two very reliable forwards:

Gaudreau - Lindholm - Mangiapane
Tkachuk - Monahan - Dube/Leivo
Pelletier - Backlund - Ryan
Lucic - Bennett - Leivo/Dube
Simon

Pelletier would really have to impress at training camp, though.

Another good shift by Zary and Pelletier on the boards. Canada needs to drive to the middle better. Cycling is all good but they aren't really creating chances.

What a work ethic Pelletier has. I think he and Dube would work well together.

Flames pair having the most potent offensive shift in a long while for Canada..

Agreed. I also just think Pelletier has the skating, work ethic and intelligence to work well with anyone! He could be the defensive conscience on a scoring line, a contributor on a tough minutes line, etc.

I wonder if they keep Pelletier and Zary around until their leagues start up, just to get that experience.

Man, the Canadian defense is playing it way too fast and loose at the offensive line. We've been extremely lucky the Czechs haven't had a few more odd-man rushes. I've been impressed with Bryam and Drysdale's skills, but they both seem to kind of want to do it all themselves.

Also, am I crazy to think Canada has the hardest path to the final? Czech then (assuming we win) USA (assuming they win).

Why would Canada play the #2 team in tbe seconds round? The teams are reseeded.

I'm not comfortable with this lead. Need the next one to snuff the life out of the Czechs and breathe a little easier.

Zary is a puck protecting playmaker eh? Really good passer.

This excites me.
