If he is so badly injured then why the hell is he playing? Team Canada shelved their captain for the entire tournament.

Was there any news of an injury prior to this game or is this just typical Oilers propaganda?

Well he was horrible. Who knows, but he’s likely better than that.

There was this from Sweden's HC after their win over Austria:

Quote:
"If we really wanted, I could have dressed him today. He'll be ready to go moving forward. That's our plan, at least."
So, not so badly injured that he was ruled okay to dress for the previous game, and presumed ready to go tonight. Clearly not 100%, but it feels like the apologists are doing a lot of work to cover for a very, very bad game.

An Oiler prospect captains team Sweden.
Sweden’s long winning streak ends.
On Oiler ice.
No surprise.

Yup. Broberg with a E=NG sprain. Tough, that one can be a career killer.

Oiler logic: he’s bad; injuries are bad; therefore, he’s injured.

If you're playing so bad that your publicist needs to tweet about how hurt you are, maybe get off the ice. Surely they had someone, anyone to replace him. I noticed his groin magically healed itself for one offensive rush in the third period though, but then went back to being hurt when he had to find his positioning in the d zone.
